APW - Waltham, Crescent St, Model 1870, 15J, 18S, heavy 14K gold (tested) drum style OF original MB (Margot Bros) case with lion hallmark, gold cuvette, white enamel SS dial, KWKS (key not included with this lot), gilt mvt, s#552119. Gross weight of assembled watch 91.2 dwt (141.8 g).
CONDITION:
Mvt: Ticking sluggishly on a full wind, overhaul recommended, fine cosmetic mvt condition overall, scratch to left side of barrel bridge, scattered fine scratches elsewhere with majority being to barrel bridge, some mild haze to portions of gilt surfaces; dial with scattered hls, small edge flakes at 9 and 1; fine hands, hour with finish loss, minute and seconds-hand with oxide to tips; case shows little wear, no dents or dings, good engine turning detail, bezel and case rear with small bit of play at hinges and each will tip closed freely with gravity; tight bow; good glass crystal.
